Media | Technology | Education
As a media arts teacher, my goal is to help students learn how to leverage digital media and technology to express their ideas creatively and share their unique perspectives with the world. I see the classroom as a space for discovery and work to foster an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust, where students feel supported in building foundational technical skills and developing their creative voices. I encourage experimentation and risk-taking, essential elements in artistic and technical growth.
My pedagogical approach is rooted in constructionism, which is well-suited to the hands-on, collaborative nature of media arts instruction. My courses are project-based, where students develop, share, and refine their work in a supportive community of practice. Through self-reflection and peer feedback, students cultivate their critical analysis skills while learning to articulate their decisions with increasing clarity and sophistication. In addition to creative and technical development, my courses help students build broader competencies, including time management, adaptability, collaboration, and leadership.
